Children shown on this website have previously appeared on the Freddie Mac Sponsored Wednesday's Child television programs in one of 5 cities: Atlanta, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, or Washington, DC. They are in the care of public agencies that are part of the Wednesday's Child program. If a child is not in the care of one of these agencies, he or she cannot be shown on this website. You may want to explore whether there is a television feature similar to Wednesday's Child in your area, or explore other photolisting websites, such as www.adoptuskids.org.

I'M A FAMILY SOCIAL WORKER. HOW DO I WORK WITH WEDNESDAY'S CHILD?

Free adoption information packets for social workers help family social workers assist families who are interested in adopting a Wednesday's Child. They explain the family worker's role in the Wednesday's Child program, how the program works, and where to get help with adoptions across state lines. I'M LOOKING FOR MY BIRTH FAMILY RECORDS OR MEDICAL INFORMATION. CAN WEDNESDAY'S CHILD HELP?

Wednesday's Child is not able to help with searches for birth family members. We suggest that you visit the website of the American Adoption Congress for information about Search and Reunion, at http://www.americanadoptioncongress.org/. You may also want to contact the agency that supervised the adoption. If you were adopted after being featured on a Wednesday's Child program, you may want to contact the television station on which the feature appeared.
